I obtained a degree in Spanish from Edinburgh University however, I have not spent the last seventeen years using my degree in its vocational capacity! Instead I have spent 15 years building and leading national and regional teams in the core market of a multinational FMCG FTSE 30 company. I have ‘sold from the bag’ as most Sales Representatives call it and progressed to the roles of Field Trainer, Area Sales Manager, Field Force Training Project Coordinator, Regional Sales Manager and National Field Sales Manager- all company jargon but in essence, I have a proven track record in sales both personally and through others.
My experience in previous roles has been in recruitment, induction, training and development of all new entrants into the sales force. I have had success in delivering sales focused solutions across global markets by developing new sales representative and management models through to practical application into international markets.
Within my current role, my focus is to design and implement bespoke sales objectives, targeted distribution/availability plans, account strategic initiatives and relevant personnel training programmes to ensure new products are brought to market effectively.

I am essentially an international FMCG sales & marketing manager with the practical skills and knowledge of selling and developing global brands, in key leadership roles, in both mature and emerging markets. Based in the Middle East, the Far East and Africa for 16 years I held market management positions and ran strategic business units for two FTSE top 30 multinationals. I was equipped with comprehensive cross-functional and business development expertise. I opened country and regional offices, forming decisions around optimum route to market platforms, whilst resourcing and then leading the businesses. I worked on M&A projects of significant scale and instigated distributive strategic alliances across categories and companies. I returned to the UK as the company’s General Manager for Global Travel Retail. A senior sales management role then followed in the business’s core global market, combining cross-functional organisational responsibility with profit impact in the region of £100mn.
My primary role at RTMSS is to engage with clients on their key questions with regard to a route to market strategy. We utilise our insight and perspective on the UK trade and retail environment and exploit to best effect our multinational education.
My family is spread across the US, the Philippines, Australia and South Africa. I have a BA Hons. Degree in Psychology. I’ve been learning to kitesurf for 7 years, enjoy watching my young son play cricket and younger daughter running and high jumping.
